“Everyone loves a party, and New Year’s Eve is the one night where you ‘dress to impress,'” says Tim Nolan, stylist at the Woodbury Mens Shop. “Whatever your style, here are three great outfits to be seen in.”
City Chic: If you’re looking to impress, then a black velvet sport coat from our WMS Signature Collection fits the bill. This classic staple can be dressed up with slacks in a Loro Piana fabric or dressed down with a pair of Jack of Spades jeans. Grab some attention with a richly colored Italo Ferretti tie!
Black Tie: Nothing whispers elegance like this updated plaid tuxedo from Belvest. The contrasting grosgrain peak lapel lends a modern touch to timeless sophistication. The Carrot & Gibbs houndstooth bow tie is handmade in America.
Dressy Casual: Nikky’s colorful plaid sport coats can be layered with complimentary sweaters by Gran Sasso and colorful jeans by MAC. Match a fun paisley pocket square by Daniel Dolce to seamlessly travel from the office to any party.
There aren’t too many situations that make us happier than to make sure a groom looks his best next to his bride. We recently had the pleasure of dressing Josh Berg for his wedding to Leslie on October 5, 2013 at the Seawane Club in Hewlett Harbor.
“I didn’t get a chance to thank you,” Josh recently wrote us. “Everything was amazing and I got so many compliments on my tuxedo. I dropped your name over and over again. The wedding was fantastic and I just wanted to show you how it turned out.”
Leslie wore a gorgeous Amsale gown with shoes by Miu Miu.
Josh looked every part the gentleman in his solid black tuxedo, custom made by Coppley. The trousers are plain front and the one-button peak lapel jacket has side vents and besom pockets for a modern fit. Josh’s custom shirt is from the WMS Signature Collection and his bow tie is by Carrot & Gibbs. His cuffs are finished with links by Robin Rotenier.
